Biagio Pompa leads Midget B St-Leonard Bucs to 13-3 victory

Biagio Pompa helped St-Leonard Bucs to a 13-3 victory over Montreal-Nord Monarques on Wednesday at Parc Beaubien Sud with a strong game at the plate and on the hill.

Bucs' Biagio was perfect at the dish, going 2-2. He singled in the third and fourth innings and looked sharp on the bump by just allowing two hits and striking out five during his five innings of work.

Eight runs in the first three innings helped Bucs blow out Monarques. A double by Bucs' Nick Valvano ignited the 3rd inning offense. Matteo Dilembo, Alex Casella, Alessandro Christiano and Massimo Gioffre piled on four more runs in the bottom of the fifth. Dante Di Domenico cleared the bases loaded twice allowing Bucs to score 6 runs and merited player of the match.

Bucs are now in the Semi-Finals on Saturday 3:45.
